David T. Abercrombie


Abercrombie, David T., manufacturer, merchant, of 311 Broadway, New York City, was born, Baltimore, Md., June 6, 1867; son of John and Elizabeth Sarah (Daniel) Abercrombie;  educated in public schools, Baltimore City Coll., and by private instruction;  

married, Baltimore, Md., April 25, 1896, Lucy Abbot Cate; children: Elizabeth, born 1897; Lucy, born 1899; David,  born 1901 ; Abbott, born 1909. Civil engineer and topographer  until 1892; later manufacturer and merchant; now president  David T. Abercrombie Co., N.Y. City, outfitters for sportsmen;  was explorer and chief of survey, Norfolk & Western R.R., in coal  and timber lands of West Virginia. Member Board of Trade,  Newark, N.J. Republican. Member American Museum of Natural History, N.Y. Academy of Sciences, N.Y. Zoological Society, N.Y. Botany Society, N.Y. Historical Society. 

Recreations: Exploring, Fishing, limiting, Camping. Clubs : League  of American Sportsmen, North End, Greenwood Lake Boat and Country, Camp Fire, Pines Riviere Fish and Game, Anglo-American Fish and Game. Residence: 197 Ballantine Parkway,  Newark, N.J.
