Arthur Adams


Adams, Arthur, financier; born Quincy, Mass., May 20, 1877.

son of John and Fanny C. Adams; received preparatory education in Hopkinson School, Boston; graduated from Harvard College, A.B. (secretary of class), 1899. Employed in the office of Alfred Bowditch, manager of estates, Boston, 1899-1902; vice-president and secretary Adams Trust Co., 1902-06; vice-president City Trust Co., 1906-10; vice-president Old Colony Trust Co.; assistant treasurer Amer. Sugar Refining Co., 1910-12; vice-president New England Trust Co., 1912-14; 

director Union Insurance Co. of Philadelphia, also director Insurance Co. of State of Pennsylvania. Clerk and director Associated Charities of Boston; treasurer and manager Farm and Trade School, treasurer and trustee Sailors' Snug Harbor of Boston; member of Finance Committee of Harvard Benevolent Society; also connected with several college fraternities. Clubs: Somerset Tennis and Racquet; Exchange (Boston) ; Eastern Yacht. Residence: Quincy, Mass. Office : 135 Devonshire St., Boston.
